1.6. Poddomkrachivaniye and towage
For performance of many operations on maintenance and car repairs it needs to be lifted and established on two or four strong supports. The car, as a rule, rises by HUNDRED the elevator. If under the car any works are performed, the car needs to be fixed reliably. Application of an onboard jack is admissible only when replacing wheels. Carrying out repair and other work under the car in this case is forbidden. It is life-threatening!
Lift only not loaded car. Establish supports under the bottom.
Points of rise and support of an automobile jack
On the lower longeron of a body there are characteristic places designating an arrangement of forward and back nests for installation of a jack (an arrow on an illustration). To each wheel there corresponds only one nest. The poddomkrachivaniye in other places is not allowed. The distance from a nest for installation of a jack to the corresponding forward wheel arch makes about 15 cm, and to back about 25 cm.

Establish a jack under the lower beam and, rotating the handle, bring his lifting paw to such height that the paw was directly under vertically located longeron edge.
Level a jack so that cam capture of a lifting paw (A) covered a longeron edge, and the mobile heel (V) rested all surface against the basis.

Rotation of the handle of a jack lift the car to a separation from the earth of a faulty wheel.
Under the wheels which remained on the earth enclose wedges to exclude movement of the car. Do not rely on the parking brake. When performing some repair work the parking brake is released.

For an exception of damages to the lower part of the car it is necessary to enclose rubber or wooden linings. It is not necessary to lift the car at all, leaning on the power unit, the case pallet, forward or back suspension brackets since it can lead to serious damages. |
Points of support in front. Are on vertical strengthening of the lower beam at tag height for an onboard jack. Strengthening of the lower beam has to be in the center of a basic plate of the elevator.
